Swimming Lyfe

These last few weeks, some people I usually see in the swimming pool came over to my house. They asked me to go back to the pool. Porprov XV will be held at the end of this year.

I don't know whether I'll be back competing or not. I just feel they're all enough: 18 years of swimming life. And gladly I still keep the pictures of them, the pictures of my ups and downs and in between through it.

↑ Kontingen POR Dini (sekarang namanya O2SN), waktu itu kelas 3 SD.
↑ Kontingen Porprov XIV, pas sudah diwisuda dan sedang senior clerkship. It always feels nice to be in the team.

↑ Pertandingan pertama: di Hotel Bumiminang Padang, masih kelas 1 SD.
↑ Pertandingan terakhir: baru saja dua tahun yang lalu.
My very first and latest competition. No kidding, they really are.

I'm blessed :)

↑ Latihan renang pas zaman SD di Hotel Ambacang Padang.
↑ Latihan fisik saat masa-masa kuliah.
Apa kesamaan kedua foto ini? Kenapa bisa ada? People say to me, "You're so lucky. Joining many competition makes you get to see many places." But I don't. I go to the pool and school and back to the pool again. If I say "I can't", I'm restricting what I can do or ever will do. I want to be able to look back and say, "I tried my best and have done everything I can." I don't want to look back and say, "I should have done this or that." Since I was a child until my last practice, being a champion doesn't come through magic; it takes sweat, sacrifice, intention, and most of all, hard work.
Because pain is temporarily, but pride is forever.
Last, can you spot me in every picture?
