cockroach


Cockroaches are insects. The presence of roaches in the earth since 300 million years ago. There are about 4500 speciesof cockroach, which 30 species are associated with human habitations and about four species are well known as pets.
They eat garbage and waste. Their natural behavior are quickly and hard to kill. Most people can recognize cockroaches instantly. They’re brown insects that are usually between half an inch and two inches long (1-5 cm).

There are three parts of cockroach:
1. Head, consists of eyes, a pair of long antennae, and mouthpart with strong teeth. 

2. Thorax, consists of:
a. Three pairs of legs those are strong
    When a roach is running as fast as it can, its legs move back and forth about 27 times per second
b. Wings
    Males usually have wings, but females don’t. The antennae allow roaches to feel the world around them. 

3. Abdomen: a tube moves blood.

Cockroach life originated from eggs. Eggs are not laid one by one in nature but a collection of eggs (12-40) regularly placed in a pouch called ooteka or purse shaped like a peanut. Adult cockroach few months old even up to two years depending on type of cockroach.
Cockroach found in almost all parts of the earth, except in polar regions. Cockroaches generally prefer warm and dark areas. They are omnivores, and many species will eat virtually anything, including paper, clothing, and dead bugs.
The tropical cockroaches are often much bigger and extinct.
